4th POSITIVUS FESTIVAL WAS ANOTHER SUCCESS

The fourth edition of Positivus Festival that took place from 16 – 17 July in the idyllic surroundings of Salacgriva was attended by a total of 37,000 people, 80-90% opting for a two-day ticket. The eight-stage event featured more than 60 acts and artists including spectacular performances by Muse, Scissor Sisters, Unkle live, Happy Mondays, ASIWYFA, Stornoway and Red Bull Music Academy DJs. Other festival entertainment included films and film-making, theatre, dance, poetry, percussions performances and various master-classes.

“This year’s Positivus Festival has been another success,” says Girts Majors of promoter Positivus Music. “The atmosphere was great once again and we want to say big thanks to all artists, everyone involved in the production and all of the festival-goers for making it happen. Our aim is to keep the same artist budget to ensure ... and book more Baltic acts. To keep the festival line-up and overall quality up to level the ticket price next year is set to rise. For our fifth edition next year we’re looking forward to welcome back one of the previous years’ headliners.”
